IUL on Steroids
This is the 4th version of this video. If you are proactively shopping for an IUL, your journey is now over. As an independent agent, I am contracted with dozens of life insurance carriers. I can sell any IUL I want, but I choose to only sell Securian’s Balanced Growth Accumulator II because an IUL is only as good as the index, and Securian’s proprietary S&P PRISM index is second to none.

The nice salesman, wearing $450 shoes, who shows up at your home or work is there to get HIS commission out of YOUR Lack of knowledge. If you ask about his commission, he will immediately distract, decay & delay answering. The huge insurance company buildings in Boston Massachusetts were paid for with the money conned out of hard working Americans. Buy term insurance to protect your dependents. When you have no dependents, you don't need insurance.My 72 year old sister got sold an Index annuity---6 months later she wanted her money back. What happens if the insurance company folds?

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady 2 дня назад

      First, cash value life insurance if not FDIC insured, but life insurance companies are required to keep a dollar for dollar reserve so in case they needed to pay out every claim today, they would be able to. Banks, on the other hand are only required to keep 10%. During the Great Recession, only one life insurance company failed but 465 banks failed. In the event of a life insurance company failing, the state's Guaranty Association would take action. The association may try to rehabilitate the company first, but if that doesn't work, the company may go into bankruptcy. The company's assets will then be liquidated to pay any outstanding claims or to repay the state guaranty association. The association would transfer the insurer's policies to another insurance company so that customers can have uninterrupted coverage and that coverage would have to be the same as from the failed company.

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady 11 дней назад

      Dave Ramsey has a good point on IULs because 95 % of agents structure these for a huge commission for themselves, which makes them a bad investment. If the IUL is structured properly, with a good volatility control index rebalanced daily, the participation rate guaranteed at 100% , has 3 loans options and is low cost, then you've got an amazing retirement vehicle, but most IULs are expensive, have limited index options, are not structured properly and have limited loan provisions.

    I've done a lot of research recently on annuities as I get close to retirement. Generally, I think SPIAs are not a good product for retirement, however, the SPDA products can be used to insure against running out of money, should one live beyond expectations. I also think that, just like life insurance, annuity products are good as insurance products, but not good as investments. Keep investments and insurance separate. Just my 2 cents.

NLG guarantees their's at 50%. Securian's S&P PRISM index is the #1 Best Performing Index in the industry with an average annual return of 25.89% because the index is rebalanced at the end of every business day. The Pacesetter index is rebalanced monthly. Securian is the lowest cost IUL in the industry and just one reason is that they begin reimbursing you for your expenses beginning in year 11 and by year 20, the first 10 years of expenses will have been reimbursed. Based on a 45 year-old male contributing $15,000 annually for 20 years, the expenses after 30 years is something like $260,000! Not all IULs are created equal.

    • @WealthProtectionLady

  • @markoo4728
    @markoo4728 27 дней назад

    There is no Death tax Or Inheritance Tax on 401ks, 403bs Or IRAs. It flows directly to the beneficiaries, they are trusts.-beneficiaries get FULL Amount. Yes, there are fees but you get a far better return. Insurance companies are in business to make money, this idea that they charge no fees is misleading. They charge plenty of fees…they just don’t call it a fee, but it is still a fee. If I put $250,000 into an annuity, I sure as heck better get it all back, for if I put $250,000 into a bank account, I get it all back and surprise! It’s guaranteed, I withdraw as needed regular monthly payment. Withdraw on any schedule as needed. I guarantee it all myself without having an insurance company telling me I have to buy a death benefit if I die too soon. So, my point, be very careful and kick the tires.

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady 25 дней назад

      As long as there are no riders on an annuity, there are no fees. 100% of your money goes to work for you. Unfortunately, most agents add unnecessary riders.

    What’s the downside of IULs? I see people saying they are bad

    • @WealthProtectionLady
      @WealthProtectionLady 25 дней назад

      Not all IULs are created equal. Some are prohibitively expensive. Some only offer the fixed loan. Some have few index choices and some are capped. Some have long surrender periods. The IUL must be structured with the lowest death benefit the IRS will allow, but most agents structure them for a big commission for themselves and those same agents don't attach the charge report to the illustration showing you how much you are paying for the IUL. These are some of the reasons why people say they are bad; otherwise, there is no downside.

      Watch my video Evaluating IUL Illustrations ruclips.net/video/QVAD79cdP5I/видео.html. If your policy is not structured properly, you can call the carrier and have them lower the death benefit as much as they can, but they will probably only allow you to lower it 20-25% per year. You can also switch indexes. I would recommend a volatility control index that is preferably rebalanced daily with a high participation rate that is preferably guaranteed at 100%.

      You want a life insurance company that has been around for over 100 years and highly rated by the 3 rating agencies. You also want a carrier that has a high Comdex rating. Also, instead of federal regulation, each state has an insurance department that is responsible for enforcing strict regulations on life insurance companies. One of the strictest and most important requirement is the dollar for dollar reserve requirement where the insurance company must keep at least $1 in reserve for every $1 in guarantees they've made to contract owners. Banks are required to have only 10% in reserves for every $1 deposited. In the 2008 financial crisis, only one life insurance company became insolvent (AIG) while 465 banks failed.

    But if I want $1.5m death benefit .. because it’s nearly half a million more than the $1m death benefit… why is that criminal of my life insurance agent to do? Some people aren’t worried about building cash value because that’s being “hopeful” you keep living. Some of us are pessimists and are more are concerned about the financial impacts of dying.

      At the end of the day, an IUL is not about the death benefit. It's about building cash accumulation. This is why you want the lowest death benefit the IRS will allow. If you want more life insurance, buy term. It's much less expensive. Also, the same agents that structure IULs with a big death benefit also don't provide people with a charge report showing you how much the IUL will cost you. They mislead people into believing there are no expenses involved. When you purchase a product, you should know how much you are paying for it.
